The 8 gratitude questions – the seven evenings challenge (Day 3)
Two evenings and one day have passed and I’m still in the challenge I started in my previous post.
The first evening
I got a kind of weird feeling when I started writing down the answers. I have tried these exercises several times before, but I have never written down the answers. It was always something just in my mind and did not had a deep or lasting effect on me. This time I wrote my 8 answers on the 8 gratitude questions down and it gave me almost immediately a warm feeling. This time there was no escape possible. By writing I had an immediate proof that I have actually done it. I thanked myself for that.
Most answers came pretty fast, without the need to think about them too long. It took me about 15 minutes to complete the 8 answers – as estimated.
The morning after I woke up with a very calm feeling and I felt very present. Was this coincidence or was it because the effect of the process of answering the 8 questions the evening before? I don’t know, but it felt great.
The second evening
I got the same weird feeling as the evening before. Some of the answers seemed to be almost the same as the day before, others were completely different. All answers came very easy, without hesitation and it was the same time as before.
I did not feel great while answering the questions, but still a little bit weird, I felt a little bit disappointed about that. Dr John Demartini has often described that the state of gratitude was reached by what he calls the “tears of inspiration” , but I did not experience that. What I did experience was a general feeling of speechlessness and outward silence and that was a great feeling to go to bed wiith.
It was again in the morning I experienced a deeper effect. When I woke up, I felt immediately a sense of presence, more balanced and with a clearer mind. This feeling stayed during most of the day. It made me feel ready to work harder and maybe that was the reason I felt in the evening a little bit more stressed than usual.
Conclusion
The first days went as planned, but it did not came easy. I’m very grateful for the last two evenings and mornings when I could enjoy an unusual feeling of being balanced and having a clear mind. It is already a great result, but I sense there is more. The coming evenings, I will learn.
For those who participated for two days, please let me hear your comments. I”m very curious. I have the feeling there is more to explore …

Hi Lloyd,
Feeling gratitude has indeed a great effect on the remaining part of the day. If you do it the evening, the day after the same effect stays. I prefer doing it in the evening, because than it also appears during the night in my dreams
Thanks for sharing!

Hi Marc – one of the things I love to do is run or juggle in the morning, sometime both! which is called Jogglings. I love having the head space to tune into my feelings. Feeling gratitude first thing thing has a positive effect on ever other hour of the day
Blessings Marc
Be great
